It seems many of the sweeps are going to facebook.  I hate this.  I don't like everyone knowing what I do.  I use facebook for advertising information only, but not sweeps.  The more you let know about a sweeps, the less chance of winning.

I've won couple of things off of facebook. You can make your facebook account just for sweepstakes and use your sweepstakes email.  I know your feeling it sinks.

I am not a fan of facebook either but you can make up a facebook id with no personal info at all and an email to your sweeps only. That way you can enter some of the better facebook only sweeps.

I have considered doing this and so far I am still waiting for that irresistible sweeps prize that will make me sign up for FB.

I only use facebook for sweepstakes. The only friends I have are sweepstakes friends even from this site. Not into the social media stuff.

I don't like that it might gain access to my FB friends' information.

I think Facebook has a rule about not having more than one account.

Yes, They do. If they find out you have more than one they will shut it down.

You can still have 2. Just be smart about it.

Create one facebook page with just your initials or maiden name or nickname and use it for sweepstakes only.  There are several members from here who are in voting or referral groups for facebook sweeps.  It helps when facebook is asking you to invite friends or get votes, but you don't want your non-sweeping friends to be bothered (or overly informed about your sweepstakes habits!:)  )  Maybe Mr. Sweepy would let us create one for the entire user group, but limit it to people who have been ACTIVE members for more than 90 days.

I'd be careful setting up more than one acct. Can't they tell from the phone number or Ip#? I got locked out of FB about 7 weeks ago for no reason at all. Only had one acct and only used it to sweep with. I did win something and it was published on the site I won from, maybe someone saw that and tried to hack my acct. I don't know and FB wasn't any help. No matter what I did I couldn't get back in. Even with a copy of a legal ID. I always wound up with the notice they are dialing my phone with a code, but the call never came. It is a nightmare when you get locked out so don't do anything to throw up a red flag. I didn't do a thing and had problems. To top it all off all the time I was trying to get them to email me, they were sending me msgs to go to my acct that I had msgs from friends. Then about 10 days ago for some reason I was able to get the phone call and get on. Has been ok since. Earlier this week they sent me a survey asking about their customer service. I was not kind with my reply LOL!

There is no need for two accounts. All you do is set up one group of friends for sweepstakes. Then when you share something on your page, just tell FB to make it visible to sweeps friends only.
