I've been entering Woman's World sweeps for many years.  I even won a very nice prize last year.  I've lived through the beginning days, when there was a one-click entry, followed by the captchas, that existed for a long time, then the more recent, short little videos, (e.g., Progressive, Swiffer), that all of us quickly memorized.

Now I am suffering through the newest, "unlock entry", where one must choose from a series of longer videos.  So, like most, I'm guessing, I choose the 15-30 second spots, that I've learned to tolerate, (Shark Tank, Silk).  This morning, as I enter, the only available choice is one for Jenuvia -- 1:30!

I ask you -- WHY must they make this so difficult and, to put it mildly, tedious??!!  Part of me thinks it's to eliminate those "fair weather sweepers", who will quickly drop out when they figure out that collectively, those 80 prizes take roughly 160 minutes to enter, give or take a few minutes!

I shall not be deterred!  However, I have dropped off entering as many as I used to, due to these videos.  Perhaps that's what WW is aiming for which, ultimately, gives we veteran sweepers better odds.

I guess I just needed to vent, hoping some in the community may also be feeling the pain!

Thank you so much for your time and . . . SWEEP ON EVERYONE!  diane

Agreed, but I will press on and keep entering.

I agree, I don't understand why so many sweeps are difficult and challenging. . . isn't the point to generate favorable publicity, brand name recognition and hopefully increase business and profit? That's not happening if ppl are frustrated and negative after attempting to enter the sponser's sweep. That's just bad for business.

i quit entering them.  i hope that you win any prizes that would have been mine.  their prizes are just not worth the effort.

I wrote a response to an inquiry about one of these sweeps and it gave me a chance to ask them a question. I asked them if they know what the term "shooting yourelf in the foot" meant. Then I explained they were indeed shooting themselves in the foot by the long entries. I told them if it is over 15 seconds, I'M OUT. Therefore they have lost the chance to feed me an ad. Made me feel better anyway. Doubt they even read it.

I enter them also and it is frustrating. I keep on keeping on. Someone has to win, right?

These things are EXTREMELY difficult to win.  I did win a L'Oreal shampoo pkg. about 6 months ago, but this is why they are so hard to win:  You have to enter on various websites (creative entry) to win these things.  To win a particular prize you have to enter on:

Of course, this takes an awful lot of time and the videos are just time-wasting frustrating parts of the whole.  I am in process of phasing all of them out, maybe except for the $1000 cash one.  The worth of the prizes just isn't worth the time & trouble.  My thoughts!

WOW, I didn't realize so many sites for the same prize.  I've entered WW for years, still doing it despite the videos.  I've won 4-5 times from them, nothing big but always useful, appreciated.   Now looking at all the sites that are entering for the same prize its really amazing I've ever won!  And Walton, I agree--anything over 15 seconds and I've lost my focus and attention too.

When we're travelling and I use my phone as a hotspot for my laptop, I have to skip those vidieo intensive entries as they suck up so much data and take forever................

And some of those captcha's are impossible to read

One site was missed, twistmag. Makes 10 sites altogether. I will do other sweeps while the ads run in the background.

I honestly think things have gotten worse on these magazine sites, since I wrote my original vent!  Now, on many of the sites, the format looks different, which takes longer to complete the entering process.  Plus, when the huge "congratulations, you're entered to win . . . " window pops, you have to close it and then scroll from top to bottom to get to the next prize you want to enter to win.

I give up!  Right now, there's a nice prize on all of these sites, that I think my granddaughter would like.  I enter only for that prize, on all ten sites, and call it a day.  Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the short little videos, but those that are over 2 minutes long, for a product I haven't any interest in learning about, have fianlly driven me away.  And, many of the shorter videos aren't even an option or don't work.

I ask you fellow sweepers, can the attempts at cheating be so rampant that these sites have had to resort to these videos, or are they simply getting paid big bucks from advertisers to feature their products?  If the latter is the reason, I respectfully submit that this idea has backfired!

TTFN!  Oh, and GLTA who have the patience to stay w/these sites!  diane

I have quit entering them all together....BUT maybe the odds are better since MOST people have quit.  Thinking of picking  1 or 2 items and entering across all their sites......but then again...I hardly have time to get my LL done!

I will no longer enter any sweeps where I have to sit through a video. I would rather move on and spend that time entering many sweeps.
