I just received a phone call tonight where this lady says that I had entered the 25,000 Jackpot, BUT she has to transfer me to another person to answer a few questions. Not that I have won, but I have to answer questions. I said, "I don't recall entering a 25,000 Jackpot" So she says sorry BUT since I have you on the phone, can I transfer you? I said no because that was just suspicios to me. I have won many prizes and when the companies get in touch with me, they let me know I won.

What about you? Do you trust these types of calls or think it's just some form of trick trying to get info out of you?

NO if you won they should have told you who they were and the name of the sweepstakes you won. Sounds like a scam to get personal information.

I would expect the person to clearly identify themselves in a business-like manner, and typically any "quesitons" they might have are answered on a winner's affidavit.  Professionals would never be surprised by a reluctance to answer questions over the phone.  The only call I ever received asking for information was Senokot, and the fellow only wanted to verify the address I provided was still correct and quoted my street address to me.  (He had sent me an email I had overlooked--oops.)

This call sounds like the sales related type you get, like for time shares and such.  I think you did the right thing.
