This worked for me.

Go to Gmail.

Log off   Top right conner circle

Being logged on to Google has some strange effect on reCaptcha

That is all I did.  Try it

I haven't been having any problems, but I don't use Gmail or Chrome either. Just Firefox for browser and Yahoo for email.

After you've finished using your gmail account, log off.  Upper right hand corner, find the letter in the blue cifrcle and click on it.

Go to where you have logged on to google and log out.   Not just gmail (most common) but any where you log on.

This is for reCaptcha not working.

When i get (sending message.)sic   I clear cookies and or reset my router.   ie  unplug for 10 seconds.

Welll, I've logged out of my Gmail acct, reset the modem and restarted my computer. Nothing has helped me get the captchas. I'm in Firefox and I also tried IE.  I just get "TRY AGAIN LATER Your computer or network may be sending automated queries. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now. For more details visit our help page" AND that lasts the rest of the day...I'm totally helpless ..Any new ideas would be helpful. Thanks

I use Firefox and I used to get the "may be sending automated etc."  It took a long time to figure out all I had to do was stop, clear cookies, then go again.  I'm able to go about three days before having to do it again.  It varies, but as soon as as the captcha gives me trouble, I stop and clear my cookies and I'm good to go again.

Also, since Google is responsible for this, I boycott anything by them.  Try searching using Bing and look into their reward program.

i found that when we enter sweeps with multiple ways to enter and i pick 'subscribe to youtube' i have to log in to google and craptcha goes on the fritz afterward.  so i then follow jerry's advice and go to Gmail and log out.  even though i don't have Gmail that i know of but i do use google chrome and it seems to work ok in google chrome.  seems to work best for me in firefox but google chrome is quicker for me when entering sweeps.
