As you all know, entering contests involves getting a ton of emails.  I am going through at least 700-900 emails a day.   It is so hard to scan all of the "titles" of the emails to see if I happen to be a winner.   Just curious if everyone else here gets as many.  Also, does anyone have any ideas of how to make this task any easier??

I was thinking of opening a new email account and starting to use it for entering all future sweeps/contests and eventually unsubscribe from my current email account, once I am positive a contest is over.

I hope this doesn't sound dumb.  I'm just look for some hints on how to make the email overload any easier.  THANKS for any help or hints.

Good luck sweeping!!!!

I unsubscribe from the emails almost daily and that seems to keep them under control. Especially from the companies that send out 3 or 4 emails on a daily basis.

I get about 250 - 350 evertday in 1 of my emails and about 30 spam in my yahoO emails that I keep blocking but that does no good.

In the  one account I might have used an unsubscribe link that wasnt safe because these are not sweepstakes related but ED Dysfunction, Asian porn, that kind of garbage.

I am afraid that something important might be in there and get deleted because I can't keep up with all the garbage.

This started about 2 months ago.

700-900 eMails per  day is almost unbelieveable. Some days I might get as many as 15-20 but I am very selective about what sweeps I enter. There are are a lot of them that I consider garbage sweeps. I always uncheck boxes on the sweeps that want to send info if the entry will still go thru and I always unsubscribe when I can. No way would I tolerate 700-900 per day - that many would mean that I need to stop sweeping and get-a-life.

Just create a "dummy" email account used specifically for sweeping, coupons, etc. I use one and I get about about 400 junk emails a day. Several times throughout the day I check it, just hit select all and glance through all the email titles and subjects and unselect the ones are useful, then delete. For me it takes less than a minute each time. After a while you'll get use to it and instantly know what to look for.

Good luck!!
